Researchers Look to Drone Tech for Weather Forecasting

June 12, 2019

Its long been considered, but not until recently has it been put into action, the idea of using drones to study our atmosphere. That's exactly what researchers at Oklahoma State University are planning to do during the upcoming storms seasons across the Great Plains.

Drone technology can offer significant benefits in the research of our lower atmospheric layers which scientists still struggle to understand in greater depth.

Follow this article link to the Tulsa Public Radio website to learn more about how this technology is being used to study our atmosphere and give meteorologists a better understanding of how weather on our planet works.
